Good news for Vancouverites who happen to like hot weather and sunshine: This weekend is expected to be blazing.
In the city, the temperature will hover around 29 C on Friday and 25 C on Saturday. Inland, it will be even hotter, said Environment Canada meteorologist Lisa Coldwells.
“Mainly sunny skies continue through into Sunday,” she said. “It’s a good, long stretch of truly summer weather.”
The heat has been breaking records across the region, and unprecedented highs are expected to be set this weekend as well.
The average for this time of year is about 21 C.
