Super food: Coffee cure

“A coffee a day, keeps Alzheimer’s at bay.”

A research team led by Dr. Gary Arendash from the University of Florida found that drinking up to two cups of coffee a day could halt the development of symptoms related to Alzheimers. “Our mouse studies, human retrospective studies, and caffeine’s ability to directly affect the disease process are all pointing to caffeine slowing or reversing Alzheimer’s Disease,” says Arendash. The research suggests that the caffeine in coffee prevented the production of protein plaques, a direct cause of the disease.
