Wearing a white jumpsuit and repeatedly scratching his face and hair, Edward Osawe, 30, had his bail hearing postponed until April 8. He will remain in custody until then.

Osawe was arrested at around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and fail to comply to a recognizance.

The victim, Jennifer Sui-King Tam, was released from hospital yesterday morning after receiving stitches to a six-inch gash across the right side of her head. The events co-ordinator at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law did not know Osawe.
