Suspect sought after drug sting

One man is in custody and another is being sought in connection to a drug sting in St. Albert.

Members of the St. Albert RCMP Drug Unit executed a search warrant at a residence located at 40 Fleetwood Cres. on Aug. 29. Investigators seized approximately one pound of marijuana, three grams of cocaine and $2,000 in cash.

The two occupants of the residence were not present at the time of police entry. However, one male later turned himself into St. Albert RCMP.

Chad Douglas Fanjoy, 24, has been charged with possession of cannabis marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000 and possession of cannabis marijuana. Fanjoy was released on cash bail and is scheduled to appear in St. Albert provincial court on Sept. 14.

A warrant of arrest has been issued for the co-accused, David James Klassen, 20. Klassen is charged with possession of cannabis marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime under $5,000.
