A knife was brandished as police say a man and woman robbed the Ultramar service station in Dartmouth early yesterday morning.

At 2:15 a.m., police say the suspects entered the Ultramar at 575 Main St., with the man covering his face with the hood of his jacket and then producing a knife.

The man then went behind the counter and took a large quantity of cigarettes, police say, while the woman acted as a lookout from the front of the store.

They then fled the service station and entered a parked vehicle out front — described to police as a four-door silver Pontiac Grand Am.

They were last seen heading towards Dartmouth along Main Street, police say.

There were no injuries.
