REGINA – Taylor Vause scored two goals, including the game winner, as the Swift Current Broncos defeated the host Regina Pats 3-2 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.
Josh Derko also scored for the Broncos (19-25-5), who snapped a three-game losing streak.
Lane Scheidl and Dyson Stevenson had a goal apiece for the Pats (26-18-6), who have won only one game in their last four outings.
Jon Groenheyde made 29 saves for the win while Matt Hewitt turned aside 13 shots in defeat.
Swift Current went 0 for 4 on the power play as Regina scored twice on four opportunities with the man advantage.
