Talks were to continue today between York University and its striking staff as 50,000 undergraduates are left to worry about the fate of their school year.

The school reopened its campus yesterday after the winter break with no sign when classes might start and a new protest outside university president Mamdouh Shoukri’s office.

The 25 students and strikers at the sit-in are demanding Shoukri host a forum this week with the Canadian Union of Public Employees 3903 to answer students’ questions.
