Taxi drives into group of people at bus stop

A taxi drove into a group of people waiting at a bus stop on Monday night.

Just after 6:30 p.m., a taxi driver was trying to stop for a pedestrian on Hollis Street, but accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake.

The car lurched forward, ramming into another car, some scaffolding and three pedestrians.

A 74-year-old woman, a 22-year-old woman and a 41-year-old man were hit, but suffered only minor injuries.

Paramedics saw to the victims, but none of them wanted to go to the hospital for further treatment.

Police said there are no charges pending.
