Parents who are unsure about whether or not their teens should have their own ATM card now have a new option. Last week, TD Bank launched TD Go, reloadable prepaid cards that can be used wherever Visa debit cards are accepted. The idea behind the TD Go cards is that parents can give their teen some spending freedom without having to worry about them spending too much.
Parents and teens can log on to tdbank.com/tdgocardto purchase a card, load more money and check the balance. For teens who are just learning about budgeting, it’s a good first step before opening their own bank account.
