Two elderly men broke out of their nursing home to attend a yearly German music festival. But, it wasn’t just any ol' festival — they pulled an escape act for the sake of a heavy metal concert.

The German news site Deutsche Welle reported that the older gentlemen went to the 29th annual Wacken Open Air, which took place from August 2 to August 4 and attracted a crowd of nearly 75,000 fans to the village of Wacken.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and his wife, Heidi, were chased out of a Washington, D.C. restaurant by a group of people protesting Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

Cruz and his wife had just walked into Fiola, an upscale Italian restaurant near the Capitol, when they were approached by a small group of people chanting "We believe survivors." Some demanded to know his position on Kavanaugh.

In a video posted to Twitter, one woman told Cruz that she was a constituent and a survivor of sexual assault. "I'd love to talk with you about Brett Kavanaugh tonight," she says. "I'm a constituent. Love to know what your vote is going to be tonight. I know that you're very close friends with Mr. Kavanaugh. And do you believe survivors, sir?"

After Cruz replied, "God bless you" and started to walk toward a table, the woman said: "There are now three people who have come forward and who have said that Brett Kavanaugh has attacked them. I know that you're close friends with him. Did you talk to him about that? Did you talk to him about his position?"

Cruz and his wife took their seats and were surrounded by people who continued to chant "We believe survivors." Soon after, the Cruzes gathered their belongings and walked out of the restaurant to cheers, CNN reported.

Kavanaugh's nomination has been imperiled by two allegations of sexual assault in high school and college. The Republican Party and President Trump have doubled down on their nominee in recent days, insisting he will be voted on and confirmed by the Senate.

Michael Avenatti, attorney for Stormy Daniels, said yesterday that one of his clients will bring an additional allegation against Kavanaugh in the next few days.

Cruz's challenger for his Senate seat, Rep. Beto O'Rourke (D-TX), condemned the incident on Twitter. "Not right that Senator Cruz and his wife Heidi were surrounded and forced to leave a restaurant last night because of protesters. The Cruz family should be treated with respect," he tweeted.
