A young man who suffered critical injuries in a two-vehicle crash in Bedford on Wednesday afternoon has died.

Police say the 19-year-old Bedford teen was a passenger in a Volkswagen Jetta that turned into the path of an on-coming Chevrolet Blazer at the intersection of Duke Street and Damascus Road around 2 p.m.

The victim was sitting in the front passenger’s seat when the collision occurred.

The 17-year-old female driver of the Jetta, and another 17-year-old female passenger, were both injured and taken to hospital, but their injuries aren’t life-threatening.

The driver of the Blazer wasn’t injured.

Police are continuing to investigate the accident and are looking to speak to anyone who witnessed the crash.
