A 19-year-old man is dead and a 12-year-old boy is in critical condition in hospital after a dirt bike accident in Delta, police said today.
Delta Police Const. Sharlene Brooks said neither the 19-year-old driver nor his young passenger were wearing helmets when they ran into a metal girder blocking access to a construction site on Tsawwassen First Nation Reserve.
“Police will not be releasing the names of those involved at this time,” Brooks said.
The 12-year-old is being treated at Children’s Hospital in Vancouver.
