A 15-year-old boy was transported to a Calgary hospital by STARS air ambulance following an incident at the Nakiska Resort around 5 p.m. yesterday.
STARS spokesperson Cameron Heke said the individual was snowboarding and wearing a helmet at the time of the incident, but could not provide further detail on what occurred. It was not known whether the teenager was from the local area.
“He was in serious but stable condition,” Heke said.
The Nakiska Resort is located approximately 80 kilometres west of Calgary.
