A teenager suffered serious head and spinal injuries at a motocross track near Richmond Sunday, just one day after five teenagers were injured at the same track.
Ottawa paramedics said Sunday they responded to their third call this weekend at the San Del Lee Raceway on Conley Road, south of Kanata.
At 10:15 a.m., paramedics arrived on the scene, where a 16-year-old male suffered head and spinal trauma. He was unconscious at the time of paramedic arrival and was taken to the pediatric trauma centre, where he was listed in serious condition.
On Saturday afternoon, Ottawa paramedics responded to a multiple casualty incident at the raceway, where five male patients between 15 and 19 years of age were treated and transported to the Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario and an adult hospital with traumatic injuries of varying severity. Earlier in the day, two other patients were taken to the CHEO after they suffered injuries.
