Calgary police are commending a 19-year-old man for his role in helping put a stop to an armed robbery on a city transit bus early yesterday morning.
Brett Moar witnessed a man allegedly threatening another man with a knife on the bus near the 400 block of 52 Street NE. He then jumped off the bus to call 911.
“I knew I could have saved the day and been a big hero, but I let police do their job and they did. That’s what I’m grateful for,” Moar said.
Police gave Moar a certificate thanking him for his help yesterday afternoon.
