A 16-year-old wanted since Wednesday for the shooting deaths of two men surrendered to Toronto police yesterday afternoon.
The youth was charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of second-degree murder. Under provincial law, he can no longer be identified.
Last week, a judge allowed police to release his name and photo in an effort to find him. Police said the teen, who does not have a criminal record, knew the two victims.
