A 17-year-old youth wanted in connection with a weekend bombing in Calgary was arrested by RCMP in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba on Monday.
The teen, who cannot be named, was wanted on a warrant for attempted murder in relation to the incident on Saturday where he and another male allegedly left an explosive at the apartment of two intended targets.
Calgary police received a tip of the teen’s whereabouts and RCMP were waiting when the suspect arrive at the bus depot, they said.
He will be transferred back to Calgary, according to police.
In the meantime police are still looking for the second suspect, 24-year-old Kyle McKee, a self-professed member of the Aryan guard in Calgary, on a Canada-wide warrant.
Police will release more details on Tuesday afternoon.
