Teens arrested after swarming

A group of five teen girls are facing a long list of charges after three vicious robberies in the downtown core on the weekend.

At around 8 p.m., the girls approached a woman waiting for the bus near Jasper Avenue and 102 Street. They attacked her, stealing her cellphone and glasses.

Minutes later, police received a call that the vicious teenagers struck again, just one block over.
In the second incident, the group made off with another cell phone and pair of glasses, though this time targeting a man.

Only a few minutes later, the girls attacked another victim, stealing her purse, then fleeing to Churchill Square on foot.

Witnesses followed the girls to Churchill Square, where they were arrested by police.

Two 15-year-olds, a 14-year-old, a 13-year-old and a 12-year-old are all facing robbery, mischief and stolen property charges.
