Three teens are facing charges after a police officer was swarmed attempting to make an arrest yesterday morning.

Police responded to a report that a vehicle was knocking over pylons near 106 Avenue and 50 Street around 12:30 p.m.

An officer attempted to arrest an intoxicated 18-year-old man who quickly became combative. At one point, the suspect choked the officer so hard, it caused him difficulty breathing, police said.

A Taser was pulled out, deployed and officers were able to arrest the man.

Michael Anthony Harris, 18, was charged with assaulting a peace officer and resisting arrest.

A 15-year-old and 16-year-old boy were also charged.
