Tendulkar short of 100 again

ADELIADE, Australia – India’s Sachin Tendulkar again failed to score his 100th international century when he was dismissed for 25 on Thursday, the third morning of the fourth test against Australia at the Adelaide Oval.

Tendulkar, who has been stuck on 99 hundreds since March last year, was well caught by second slip Ricky Ponting off fast bowler Peter Siddle in India’s first innings.

The 37-year-old Tendulkar has been the best batsman for a disappointing India on the current four-test series, but has failed to reach a ton in seven innings.

India is likely to bat once more in this test, and there is a one-day series to follow.
