Choice is the word at Thai Ivory Cuisine — the menu is huge.

We start with Green Tea ($2.50) and deep-fried Thai Spring Rolls (four pieces $6.95). Although we don’t ask for the chicken variety, that’s what arrives — served with a honey-based sauce.

Our Cashew Nut Eggplant entrée ($12.99) comes with Jasmine Rice. The dish is a mix of cashews, onions, carrots, oranges, garlic and red and green peppers. It tastes fine and is colourful.

The Basil Noodle dish with BBQ Pork ($13.99) is tasty too, and the meat is tender, but it would have been better if the noodles weren’t forgotten.

The Massaman Curry ($13.99) is our best choice. The flavour of the creamy peanut sauce is superb. We have the calamari variety and, while the calamari is chewy, the sauce — mixed with green beans, onions, carrots and peppers — makes up for it.

The owners and servers are friendly and ask for suggestions as their restaurant is still new. Once they smooth out the rough edges, the place should be a hit.
