Hotel room price at Mandalay Bay after Las Vegas shooting

Mandalay Bay, Hotel, Room, Price, Las Vegas Shooting

The Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino was up and running again just over 12 hours after the deadly Las Vegas shooting on Oct. 1. It does not seem as though consumers are spooked by staying at Mandalay Bay as hotel room prices are back to relatively the same price since before the shooting.

Just over three weeks after the attacks, Expedia.com shows that the average hotel room at Mandalay Bay is $129 per night. Here is how similar hotel-Casinos comp. New York-New York is averaging $179 per night. Caesars Palace is averaging $325 per night. Platinum Hotel is averaging $135 per night. Trump International Hotel is averaging $191 per night.

An Elite Suite, 1 King Bed at Mandalay Bay is going for $175 and the cheapest room available, a “Run of the House” Room is going for $129.

MGM Resorts announced last week that it does not plan to rent out room No. 32135 on the 32nd floor from where Stephen Paddock shot and killed 58 people and injured over 500. MGM/Mandalay Bay has not yet said what it will do with the room.

Here is video from this week on what Mandalay Bay looks like now, following the tragedy.
