Apple has set a date for their fall live event, Gather Round, in which the newly trillion-dollar company is expected to introduce three new iPhone models, an upgraded Apple Watch and most likely a few things no one has leaked yet.

The company will broadcast the event live on Tuesday, Sept. 12, at 10am PT from the Steve Jobs Theater on Apple’s new California campus.

Expected new iPhones and product releases

Tech-insider blogs such as Mac9to5 and The Verge are in agreement that, judging by some credible leaked images and documents, it’s most likely that Apple will announce three new iPhone models. The iPhone XS is expected to come in 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch models — back to the old playbook of releasing a new iPhone in both regular and Plus sizes. (At its debut, the iPhone X was one size only, which some longtime Plus users felt was a touch too small.)

The company is also expected to announce a new 6.1-inch iPhone to bridge the iPhone 8 and the iPhone X (which is, mindblowingly, thought to be called the iPhone 9). It will have less expensive components and thus a lower price tag than the X, which started at $999.

Additionally, experts say the new phones may come in four new colors: A leaked graphic shows blue, red, rose gold and orange, and it’s believed to be credible.

And there’s news about the Apple Watch 4 and more. We scanned the insiders and rounded up Apple’s expected Sept. 12 releases here.

Years after a slightly wobbly transition between the late founder Steve Jobs and current CEO Tim Cook, Apple is on a hot streak in 2018. In addition to crossing that trillion-dollar valuation for the first time, the company saw its Apple Watch, once an underachiever, outsell the entire Swiss watch industry. (It’s the best-selling wearable by far, with 4.7 million units sold in the last quarter.) While iPad sales are flat year-over-year, and Mac sales are slightly down, the AirPods have become a new bread-and-butter item for Apple: As late as this month, Amazon was selling out of shipments within 24 hours, and Apple’s own website often showed them as out of stock.
