At least one person was shot Tuesday near a high school in Santa Rosa, California, and the suspect was still at large.
Police recieved a call about a shooting just outside Ridgway High School just after 9 a.m. local time. It’s not clear whether the shooter was a student or an adult, but a man hunt was underway and the school along with two other nearby schools were on lockdown. Santa Rosa police called the shooting an “isolated” incident, according to Reuters, and said there were no further reports of violence on the campus.
One person was wounded in the shooting and receiving medical treatment, police said. It’s not clear if the victim was a student or an adult.
Santa Rosa is a city of about 180,000 people, and is located 50 miles north of San Francisco.
