The do-it-yourself wedding invitation

DIY isn’t just about trying to save money, it’s about making your wedding unique and personal, says designer Lauren Panepinto.

“You can have things cheap, or you can have things fast, but you can’t have both. Too many couples end up at 3 a.m. covered in papercuts the night before the really-absolutely-last-possible-day to get the invites out. And if you set out to DIY and find that it’s not working and switch to a pro you’ll end up spending twice as much money as you would have if you gave the designer or printer a month or two to creatively cut corners.”
