The happiest place on Earth, kids or no kids

They say it’s the happiest place on Earth, and well … it is.

You don’t need to have kids to enjoy all Disneyland has to offer at just a flight away.

From the food and wine to the attractions and games, Downtown Disney and special Aladdin performance, there is a variety of activities and attractions that appeals to adults.

A theme park staple, Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular will be taking its last bow this fall, but with an updated Genie making modern jokes — about Lady Gaga, Twitter and other adult humour — this is one show parents won’t want to miss, with or without the kids.

“Whether you’re one or all the way to 101, there’s always something fun for everyone at Disneyland,” Marlie Morrison, managing director of Disney Parks Canada said.

With two parks to enjoy, the classic Disneyland and the 10-year old Disney’s California Adventure, there is double the fun. The best bet would be to purchase a “park hopper pass,” which ranges in price and number of days. There are three hotel resorts located directly within the parks vicinity for those who want to be right in the action.

As for the rides, while Disney certainly has its fair share of kids rides, adults will enjoy the selection as well from the crazy rollercoaster California Screaming to the Tower of Terror — not for the weak of heart. But also the Soaring Over California ride offers adults a few moments of hang gliding — simulated of course — over California’s many incredible sights.

For those old enough to remember, check out the Captain EO Tribute paying homage to Michael Jackson in 3-D. The best part is all of these attractions are included in the admission price.
