The SunnySide of Ottawa

Dear readers,

Just when you think things can’t get worse – we’re here to tell you it’s not so bad, after all.

Today Metro launches The SunnySide of Ottawa, a celebration of how great it still is in Canada – despite the recession.

Over the next while we’ll interview your political, business and community leaders about the good news in Ottawa – and exchange their best recession-busting ideas with our 1.1 million readers and leaders across the country.

As well, our columnists, bloggers, and reporters will buzz with ideas on how we can work together to conquer this recession – or at least laugh about it.

But most importantly, this is a Call to Action to you to send us:

  • Your ideas on how we can implement positive change.
  • Inspirational stories on how to overcome loss of jobs, businesses, homes, income and pension plans – without losing hope or happiness.

We’ll promote your best stories and ideas here on metronews.ca and in paper.

So get writing! Email us, comment on this article, or send us a tweet @metroottawa.

And meanwhile, as Bobby McFerrin sang: “Don’t Worry, Be Happy.”
