There are still opportunities for teaching

Teaching is one of the world’s most important jobs. Still, public sector positions are evaporating faster than ice cubes on a summer sidewalk.

Privately however, there has never been a better time to become an instructor, says Gregory Dixon, representative for Montessori Teachers College (MTC).

“(This is) something that we are incredibly proud of,” Dixon notes, adding the MTC’s host of credits in order to affirm the merit and portability of their diplomas. “We are very involved in the Montessori community and are well-known for our world class teachers, taught through the MACTE (Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education). We are also registered as a Private Career College with the Ministry of Training, Universities and Colleges, and are a member of the CCMA (Canadian Council of Montessori Administrators).”

Since its 2005 inception with the Early Childhood Development (ECD) course, MTC has become one of Ontario’s most prominent/accomplished instructional programs. Thanks to that success, Dixon reveals that MTC is expanding its variety of programs this year in order to broaden both their areas of assistance to youth and employment opportunities for adults.
