This weekend, the Edmonton Expo Centre played host to the 27th annual Edmonton Home and Interior Design Show.

“This is a show that is filled with manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and retailers who have professional experience and advice for people who might be renovating their home,” said show producer Rick Young.

Bryan Marche has been attending the event for the last few years and has mostly been doing so to keep up on current trends.

“I haven’t had a chance to check out everything yet,” Marche said. “But I really liked the faux-bricks that you can put inside the house. I think that looks cool, and you don’t have to worry about laying stones or anything like that.”

According to Young, consumers aren’t the only ones benefiting from the convenience of the exhibition, as it presents a unique advertising opportunity for the exhibitors.

“We’ve participated in 16 shows here in Edmonton,” said Louis Csaba, president of Soak, which specializes in luxury bath products. “And they are a good way to advertise and show the product off to a large group of people in one shot.”
