Police in Edmonton have charged a third man in the stabbing death of a foreign worker who was about to return home to Thailand.

Apichat Sudsaneh was trying to help some friends who had been attacked June 6 by up to six people demanding money near a convenience store.

Two men already face various charges that include second-degree murder, robbery and assault.

A third suspect who had been identified on security video was arrested Friday.

Bodan Allan Henry, who is 18, is charged with robbery and assault.

It’s believed all the attackers were white, but police have said there is no immediate evidence to suggest the unprovoked assault was racially motivated.

Sudsaneh’s friends said he had worked in Alberta for about eight months and was preparing to buy a ticket home to see his family.
