This band’s working eight days a week

Chris Fraser calls it his “dream job.”

The 33-year-old musician grew up a fan of the Beatles — he even sang their songs in preschool — and is now performing around the world in a tribute band for what was, and still is, one of the most influential groups in music history.

“In a way, I’m seeing the world through their eyes and wearing their shoes and playing their music,” said Fraser, who assumes the role of John Lennon for Beatlemania On Tour — The Beatles Experience, which takes to the stage Friday at 8 p.m. at the Casino Nova Scotia’s the Schooner Room.

“And the audience is adoring us the way they did with the boys back in the day.”

Tribute bands for the Beatles are nothing new.

But Fraser said they stand out from others because they’re young, authentic and recreate the spirit of the Fab Four in the way they perform over 40 hit songs.

“It’s like going to see a Beatle concert — all the best Beatle concerts rolled into one night,” he said.
