Three people, including a 69-year-old man found stabbed in an east Toronto home, are dead after a grisly night in the GTA.

Emergency officials were called to a house on Victoria Park Avenue just north of Ellesmere Avenue East, shortly before 4:30 a.m. yesterday, where they found the 69-year-old victim with several stab wounds to the abdomen.

He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police have not released the victim’s name.

“The investigation is still in its infancy,” said Staff Sgt. Gary Tutchener, who confirmed that police have a person of interest in custody.

In York Region a 48-year-old woman was found dead Tuesday night in a Richmond Hill apartment. It’s the region’s first homicide of the year.

The victim was pronounced dead and a man was taken into custody at the scene.
Efim Klimovich is charged with second-degree murder.

Less than eight hours after the discovery of that body in Richmond Hill, York homicide officers were called to a Newmarket GO bus station, where a man’s body was found.

A passerby had found the body in the parking lot and called police at about 4 a.m. yesterday.
The identity of the victim is unknown.
