Three men charged with robbery, threats

Three men in the early 20s are facing charges of robbery and uttering threats after an incident on Monday night in the 100 block of Wyse Road in Dartmouth.

Halifax Regional Police say at 8:47 p.m., a 15-year-old male youth was approached by the men and told to empty his pockets.

Police say the victim complied and handed over cash and other items, but afterwards, one of the suspects put him in a headlock, went through his pockets, took his shoes and sweater and punched him in the face.

Police say an officer passing by arrested two of the suspects without incident. The third suspect was also arrested nearby but received minor injuries after a brief foot pursuit with police. The victim also received minor injuries.

Shane David Myers, 20, from Lucasville, Michael Leroy Snooks, 21, of Dartmouth and Anthony Michael Stundon, 21, of Beaver Bank, were also scheduled to appear in Dartmouth provincial court yesterday. Stundon is also facing charges of breaching his recognizance order.
