Provincial health officials say an Edmonton area woman and two central Alberta boys have tested positive for influenza A (H1N1), also known as swine flu.
That brings the total number of cases in the province to 33.
The woman did travel to Mexico while the two children didn’t and all three cases were mild, said health officals.
Reports also emerged Thursday night that an elderly woman who had swine flu has died in northern Alberta, CBC News Online reported. It was not clear whether she had any other underlying conditions.
The U.S., Canada and Mexico vowed Thursday to fight what they called unjustified bans on pork products in the wake of the outbreak.
