Three teenagers are facing drug charges after Halifax RCMP say they seized a large quantity of marijuana on Tuesday night.
Police say the Halifax District Street Crime Enforcement Unit watched a drug transaction take place between people in two vehicles in the parking lot of a gas station on Sackville Drive. Police say small amounts of marijuana were seized from both vehicles.
Police say from this seizure and an ongoing investigation, a search warrant was executed at a residence on Old Beaverbank Road where police found 331.3 grams of marijuana, two mature marijuana plants, other drug paraphernalia and cash.
A 17-year-old male and 15-year-old female were arrested in the search and are facing charges of possession for the purpose and production of marijuana. An 18-year-old male was also charged with possession of marijuana. All three have been released and will appear in court at a later date.
