Three teenagers are facing charges of robbery after Halifax RCMP say two people had their backpacks stolen while a can of bear spray was pointed at them on Walker Avenue in Lower Sackville Wednesday night.

Police say a man and woman in their early 20s were walking on the street at 9:50 p.m. when two males -- one of which had bear spray -- approached them. Police say the two demanded each victim hand over their backpack, then fled on foot to a silver Saturn.

Police say they located two suspects and the vehicle at Woodbine trailer park on Ioney Drive and arrested two 19-year-old males and a 17-year-old female. They also say they found the backpacks and bear spray.

All three teenagers are facing charges of robbery and are to appear in court at a later date.
