Lars Von Trier has always been a director with a passion for pushing buttons and torturing his audiences, but Antichrist takes the filmmaker’s punishing style to all new levels.
Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg head out to a cabin in the woods to sort out their marital woes only to end up doing unspeakable things to each other.
As with all movies this thematically and viscerally extreme, audiences will passionately love and despise Antichrist in equal measure.
Regardless of which camp you fall into, you’ll certainly never forget it.
I loved it, so I guess I’m a sick puppy.
