George A. Romero’s Survival of the Dead
Call him what you want, no one can ever accuse maverick filmmaker George A. Romero of being conventional. Only vaguely connected to Diary of the Dead (one character crosses over) Survival of the Dead (the sixth in his cross-genre pollinating zombie series) is an arch, ultraviolent adventure that is as much an old-fashioned John Ford western as it is a horror film. Tons of bloody fun from a man who never stops experimenting.
