Ong Bak 2: The Beginning

Ong Bak 2 is connected to the original action classic by name only.
The film once again marks the collaboration between director Panna Rittikrai and stunt-loving star Tony Jaa, but this time they’ve created a period revenge film in which Jaa takes on a gang of evil slave traders.
There are some remarkable action scenes, but the weapons-based fighting is not nearly as exciting as the urban combat of the original and the plot is an absolute mess.
Aside from a few impressive sequences, this movie doesn’t compare to Ong Bak.
