Henry’s Crime
Genre: Comedy
Director: Malcolm Venville
Stars:
Keanu Reeves, Vera Farmiga, James Caan
***1/2

Keanu Reeves plays a poor but honest Buffalo tollbooth collector who is framed for a hold-up and sent to prison. He doesn’t defend himself — he really is innocent — because according to his cellmate (Caan), he doesn’t have a dream. Shortly after being run over for a local actress and TV ad spokesmodel (Farmiga) he finds his dream — to rob the bank he served time for robbing. The script is clever, wry, and lean, the performances are terrific, and who doesn’t love a great heist story with a threesome of lovable, interesting criminals leading the way?
