The Bang Bang Club was a name given to four international news photographers who covered South Africa’s civil war in the waning days of white rule in the early ’90s. Put in the centre of combat, high on adrenaline and invincibility, they shot the pictures that opened the world’s eyes to the bloodbath while dealing with the moral, personal, and political meaning of it all. This is a well made film about four heroic men in a world gone crazy, none of whom were actually invincible.
