Members of city council helped launch the fifth annual Fall Cleaning the Capital Campaign yesterday.
The campaign, held Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, requires volunteers to take on projects, including cleaning up parks, schools and neighbourhoods.
Last year, 87,409 participants collected 150,000 kilograms of litter in 1,438 projects, said Coun. Maria McRae.
