Times change, as do excuses

Telling the teacher the dog ate the homework isn’t often used anymore — there’s a new list of creative excuses students give in the era of technology, according to online backup company Mozy.

They found from speaking to 500 teachers and 1,000 students that the average teacher hears 20 different homework excuses a week.

The study found modern day excuses for not handing in assigned homework include computer viruses, losing documents, and dried-up ink cartridges.
