Three men were attacked and robbed in an apartment building stairwell yesterday.

Police say the three men were in the building on Jackson Road in Dartmouth at about 6:20 p.m.

They were confronted by three other males in the stairwell where one of the victims was struck in the head with a tire iron and another was hit with a fire extinguisher. The third was not injured.

The suspects stole a knapsack and fled the area.

Two men and a young offender were arrested a short time later. All three are charged with robbery and assault with a weapon.
