Toddler found on Texas street, meth and snakes in mother's home
Deputies say they have found a toddler wandering aloneon a Texas street, and methamphetamine and more than a dozen snakes inhis mother's home.
Jasper County Sheriff Mitchell Newman told KFDM-TV
that Tamara Jones has been charged with endangerment of a child by
criminal neglect and possession of a controlled substance.
Neighbours reported the wandering toddler Tuesday afternoon, and a deputy tracked down Jones.
In her home, Newman says, the deputy found a small amount of methamphetamine and as many as 16 snakes, one dead.
Newman says one snake was about 2.4 metres long.
A jail official said the 28-year-old Jones was released Thursday.
