Tommy Lioutas is an actor. He plays John “Griff” Griffin on the CTV drama, Whistler.
Q: What is your fondest memory from your family kitchen?
A: I come from a very large Greek family, about the size of the family from the movie, My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Some of my fondest memories come from those times when my grandparents’ kitchen was packed tightly with all of my family members working together to get the meal ready for dinner.
Q: What kitchen aromas bring back fond memories?
A: Bacon. Bacon reminds me of Sunday morning breakfasts.
Q: What is your favourite food to cook?
A: Steak. All it needs is salt and pepper and it’s good to go.
Q: What rituals from your background involving food do you partake in?
A: We Greeks love to eat! I see it, I eat it. I look forward to the holidays and eating good old-fashioned turkey. If you don’t eat you get yelled at by your grandmother.
