Tories begin process to 2014 election

Nova Scotia Progressive Conservatives have high hopes for 2014.

Nova Scotia Progressive Conservatives have high hopes for 2014.

The party has released the first stage of a “visioning process” — called Outlook 2014 — that addresses grass-roots views on organization, fundraising and direction. “In 2014 we have a clear vision and purpose,” the document states. “Not everyone likes us but we’re respected for our integrity.”

Other goals outlined in the document include better communication techniques, modernized fund- raising practices, “superior organization,” and strengthening local teams.

Outlook chair Andrew Black said the next stage, in conjunction with interim leader Jamie Baillie, is to set measurable standards against which those goals can be judged.
