The Toronto Community Housing Corporation is about to get sued — and TCHC’s chief operating officer says that might be good news.
Yesterday, Keiko Nakamura said she would be pleased if the suit forced the province to give the TCHC more money.

Toronto lawyer Sarah Shartal said yesterday that she will launch in August a class-action lawsuit against the TCHC, the City of Toronto and the provincial government to force them to complete millions of dollars of neglected repairs. Shartal said she will ask the courts to order damages paid to every TCHC tenant who has waited more than two weeks for repairs.
