Toronto could unmask Phantom

Toronto could get the first look when producers unmask the Phantom of the Opera sequel, Love Never Dies.

A leaked casting notice published by theatre magazine Playbill confirmed that the play would debut in an out-of-town tryout, “probably in Toronto, before opening on Broadway.”

A spokesperson for Mirvish Productions, which would likely stage the show, had no comment.

According to the casting notice, the new Andrew Lloyd Webber-Glenn Slater musical will feature direction by Jack O’Brien.
