Toronto police charged four Ottawa men after officers
found drugs and a loaded 9mm handgun in a car during a
traffic stop in Toronto’s entertainment district on Sunday night.
While police have laid 52 charges against six people,
the Ottawa residents are facing 33 of those, including unauthorized
presence and possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle and careless
storage of ammunition.

The charges were laid as a part of the Toronto Anti-Violence Intervention Strategy.
Abdinasir Abdullahi, 22, Mohamed Warsame, 21,
Abdalla Abdi, 21, and Abdirahman Ibrahim Hussein, 23, all of Ottawa,
and Mohamed Siad, 23, Mubarak Rirash, 20, of Toronto, appeared in court Monday.
